Call
The Polhill Arms, a black-and-white timbered country pub, on a bright summer afternoon
A proper country pub since long before you asked

Small pub.
Very big welcome.

Real ales, a log burner in winter, a beer garden in summer, and a bar full of chatter all year round. Muddy boots and soggy dogs very much encouraged.

The feeling of the place

Alive with chatter, laughter and the clink of glasses

The Polhill is a proper hub of village life. Quizzing, live music, a long afternoon with friends, or a quiet pint over the crossword. It's an unhurried, laid back sort of space, and there's room in it for all of that.

Small but perfectly formed, as people keep telling us. We'll take it.
